Annoying problem: Macbook Pro running 10.11.4 Windows 8.1 installed on Ironkey USB (provided by work) Latest Parallels desktop s/w - ver 11.1.3 All was working great up until a week ago (and indeed the USB still works 100% when I boot directly off it on my Windows laptop) Now when i attempt to start the guest windows session I get: Shortly followed by:
Hello Gavie, Please check your Windows virtual machine boot order sequence,in the Virtual Machine Configuration dialog, click Hardware > Boot Order, and configure the USB device to be the first boot device.
I'll be VERY interested to see how this pans out. I have very similar issue with the same errors as above but on Win10 > https://forum.parallels.com/threads/another-running-windows-togo-on-parallels.336398/ P.s Gavie - how did you install your windows on to usb?
I didn't do it personally - it was provided to me pre-installed by my client to access their secure network.
Ah ok, I see. What I'm curious to know, is if yours did initially work because you're using a certified usb drive, or for some other reason. My settings are as above too.
That's the really frustrating bit - it worked perfectly for the last few months. The only change has been an Apple O/S update but I can't see anything in the release notes that would cause this problem.
