I don't have enough space left on my hard drive(40 GB), so instead can I install parallels on a SD card ?

    Hello sandeep2,
It is possible to run your Virtual Machine from an external storage. Refer to this article to know the supported platforms to run the Virtual Machine. Note that running a Virtual Machine from external storage has its own limitations and having a backup of your .pvm file would be highly recommended.

Possible, but you need a fast SD card for that, as typical and cheap SD cards offer no more than 10 to 20 MB/s read speeds, which will be a drag. You need to look at Class 10 cards at least.

Yes, @ElizabethA based on read speed to load Windows from SD cards take time.
