Hello! I want Linux in parallels but every time I install it with the + icon it only suggests me Ubuntu 14.04, no newer version? How can I please get Ubuntu 15.10 with parallels tools in Parallels 10.04. Thanks.
Hi Zen5656, Ubuntu 15.10 is not supported officially as guest OS in Parallels Desktop 10. Please check out this article for the list of guest OS supported in Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac.
I am now using Linux Mint 17.3 "Rosa" - Xfce (64-bit) https://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=214 Works super good in Parallels. Why is only an old Ubuntu version preselectable from the installation menue?
Hello Zen5656, Glad the new VM with Linux Mint is working fine. You cannot find the other latest versions of Ubuntu in the drop down menu because they are not officially supported by Parallels Desktop 10. We will take your post as a feed back and pass this information to the concerned team.
