Windows 10 Install problem- incompatible "display adapter" for screen- HELP!

Discussion in 'Installation and Configuration of Parallels Desktop' started by Parallels User, Jul 28, 2016.

  1. I'm using Parallels 11 on a Mac Mini i7 with 16gb of memory, and when trying to do the upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 I am getting a message saying my display adapter is incompatible. I use a 24" Samsung digital monitor, and have installed the latest upgrade to Parallels this morning. Is there an upgrade or setting I should be using? I want to do the upgrade before tomorrow while Win 10 is still free to Win 7 users......

    RichardD9,

In addition to the linked blog, i suggest configuring the VM for:
    • RAM -- 4 GB (or more, if you can)
    • VRAM 256 MB.
