After reviewing all specs, it is clear that I cannot upgrade directly from 7 to 11. Right now I have Parallels 7 working on Lion 10.7.5. It appears that I have to upgrade to 9, then upgrade my Mac software, upgrade to 11 then upgrade my Mac software again? The issue is not hardware. The Mac I have can handle the new software...it's just getting there. Recommendations? What are the potential complications? Thank you.
Hi MelissaR1, If you are planning to upgrade your Mac and Parallels Desktop then you can upgrade your Mac OS first then purchase full version of Parallels Desktop 11 to use, currently Parallels Desktop 9 is not sold on our website you can buy it from a retailer then after upgrading your Mac OS to El Capitan then you have to buy upgrade to Parallels Desktop 11. Instead, backup your VM then upgrade Mac OS X to El Capitan then you can buy Parallels Desktop 11 full version online and use the backed up VM. Thanks, Ajith M.
