Hi. I've seen a good amount of threads on related resolution issues, but so far have not been able to solve this issue:

    - Running Parallels 12 on on a 5K IMac
    - Want to run parallels in window mode (rather than full screen or coherence) as my experience is the Windows software I run, runs faster in this mode
    - However when I resize the Parallels window this always changes the resolution as well as font scaling in windows!
    - Really what I want is the Windows desktop, within the standalone Parallels window to remain at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and for font scaling to remain as I set it (i.e. 100% etc) indefinitely.

    Is this possible?
Many thanks in advance for any definitive help with this.

Hi, in order to resolve issues with resolutions and modes you can try to reinstall Parallels Tools.
And what about running Parallels Desktop 12 on 5K iMac - could you please provide us with more details? Did you get any error messages?

Thanks Maria. I've reinstalled Parallels tools on a couple of occasions previously, with no benefit. I've just tried again now and I'm still seeing the 'change the size of text, apps and other items: xx percentage' value changing as I resize my standalone Parallels window. Windows resolution also changes when resizing the window (i.e. dragging the window from the corner to expand or decrease size). I don't understand your question about running Parallels 12 on an iMac. This is just a standard install as far as I am aware. Am I missing something in your question?

If possible can you perhaps address my previous question please:
