I'm using Parallels 12 Desktop and I cannot update Windows 10 to latest version as the update utility says I need more disk space......8GB required!!

I increased the expanded disk to 128GB (additional 25GB) and applied but the increase is not seen by the Windows 10 update utility when I run it??

    Am I missing something?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Hello MikeBr,
Check how much free space you have in Windows C drive ? if you don't see more space you have allocated let us know. You can also try to free up space inside Windows by running disk utility then try to update.

    Hi Ajith,
I have a 1TB SSD in my MacBook Pro with 463GB free space.
Looking at the Windows C: drive in Finder and also Explorer (when using Parallels) it does say that the drive is 68GB capacity!!
I used Parallels and the Settings area of my virtual machine....then Hardware tab to change the Expanding Disk size to 128GB but this doesn't appear to have changed the available capacity?
Can I change the capacity using a different method other than having to create a completely new virtual machine and re-installing Windows 10 and other software??

    Regards,
    Mike
P.S. I did try running the disk utility in windows but it didn't free up enough space for the required 8GB Windows 10 upgrade!
