Another USB not working thread

Does USB work in Parallels?

I have the latest MacOS (10.4.10) and Parallels (3.0.5160) versions. USB does not seem to work at all. I get the ubiquitous "USB device you are trying to connect to the virtual machine is being used by another application."

To verify that it is a Parallels issue and not a USB device issue I have tested all the following devices in two different Parallels virtual machines (one a bootcamp partition the other a virtual partition). All have failed.

Blackberry 8820
Palm Treo 650
Sony PSP
Garmin 276C
Sandisk Cruzer Mircro 4GB
USB SD CardReader
250 GB External LaCie drive
100 GB External LaCie drive.

I have searched through the forums but I can't seem to find a solution. Is there a solution?

(Edit: I should mention that I am using WinXP.)

My USB dongles work OK, it is only my Garmin 296 that isn't playing. My setup is almost exactly the same as yours. I emailed support - yet to get any sort of response. The Knowledge Bank has a fix for V2.5 (which didn't work when I had 2.5).
