System: Parallels Pro for MAC Ver. 12.1.1 (41491) I am attempting to set up a LAB with 2 Windows Domains. The first domain is on "Shared Network" and works fine, the 2nd domain I wanted on a separate network so the only option is Host Only. However the Guest Computer on this network cannot connect to the internet through the Mac Host, i understand that it is not possible for the internet to connect to guest computers in Host Only networks, but is there any way to enable NAT for outbound connections? Am I missing something glaringly obvious.? Many Thanks
Thank a lot for you reply. It will be great if you share some workaround once you find some. Thank you once again.
Maria, actually I did find a workaround. My Host-Only (No parallels DHCP) network consists of 1xWindows Server 2012 VM, 1xOS Sierra vm and 1xWindows 8.1 vm. On the Windows 2012vm, I installed a second virtual Network card (parallels: Bridged) which uses the default Wifi connection from my Wifi Router. I then installed DHCP, DNS, and Routing and Remote access (with NAT) on the Windows 2012vm. So the Windows Server now provides IP addresses to all the machines in the Host-only Network issuing its' own host-only IP address as the gateway. With DNS forwarding any internet requests, subsequent connections are routed with NAT (Routing and Remote access) through the Bridged IP. Both Mac and Windows client VMs, connect to internet, so does the server. Works like a charm. All on my 13" mac book pro. If you need any more info let me know. I have not built the second domain yet, if it works for one it should work for the second, by just creating a second Host-Only network.
