Hello, We have had this happen on 3 different 15" brand new Macbook Pro's (Out of 5). Basically, error messages will begin to pop up related to user accounts, it will take a long time to boot into windows, and then the search box in Windows 10 will no longer accept keyboard input. We have not been able to recover from this state. This will happen within 1 week of usage. Here is the setup: - Full Spec'd Macbook Pro 15" (Core i7, 16GB Ram, Radeon Pro 460 with 4GB Video Memory) - Windows 10 Pro Anniversary Edition - macOS Sierra (10.12.3) - Parallels Desktop Version 12.1.3 (41532) - Sophos Anti-Virus running on the Mac (Version 9.5.5) - On two of the computers, Parallels was pointing to Bootcamp. On one of the computers Windows 10 was not set up using Bootcamp. Additionally, we have this exact setup on older Macbbooks that have had zero problems. It definitely seems like this is related to the new hardware.
Are you guys also experiencing freezing task bar, and crashing task bar when left or right clicking on it? Basically Windows Explorer is unresponsive, but then in a matter of minutes it will unfreeze and work until next reboot?
Yes, sometimes the entire task bar is frozen for minutes on end with a spinner. Eventually it will unfreeze and partially work, but still not able to enter text into the search box.
Please create a new user account in Windows 10 as suggested in Microsoft article and let us know if the issue still persists.
We have only seen this on Skylake CPUs. Recently a hyperthreading CPU bug was found in Skylake processors. Could this be the cause? http://www.zdnet.com/article/debian...-lake-processors-have-broken-hyper-threading/
