Our customer wants to activate the this new feature for activate the user profile disks.
Does this make a new profile for the users or a new profile with all the user settings from the current user profile?

    Kind regards,
    Bram Wijman

    Greetings @BramW
First of all please note that UPD disk feature was first implemented by Microsoft within Windows Server 2012 R2 tool set so it will work only for terminal servers with this operating system.
Going forward - the point of UPD feature is to replace roaming profiles. It works in the way that user's profiles are stored on a separate VHDX drive located on dedicated file share. So once user connects to a terminal server session this VHDX drive mounts to this particular session.
In addition please consider that UPD is Windows Server 2012 R2 feature and Parallels Remote Application Server just wraps up this functionality and allows using this feature within RAS-based remote sessions.
And as for original question most likely that new user profiles would be created once feature will be enabled, however I suppose that the is some kind of configuration that allows to import roaming profiles from terminal servers to user profile disk. May be worth checking this one with Microsoft Support since most of configuration should be performed on Windows side.
Let me know if you will have additional questions or points to discuss.
Will be glad to hear back from you!
