    Hallo!!

Today I've upgraded Parallels desktop from v10 to v12. I've installed it on my new MBP. I've copied also my old VM with Windows 7 on it and... it doesn't launch... Everything is ok on my old MBP - the machine works just as usual. On my new laptop with PD12 I get error "Drive 0 does not exists, or you don't have permissions to access it, or it is used by another process" (I've translated it from my language, so the words may not be exactly the same).

I've found the solution on ||Parallels website to disconnect the drive from settings, restart PD and navigate and attach .hdd file from VM bundle (http://kb.parallels.com/en/123150), but it does not work. I still get the message no boot drive...

Ok. I've finally managed to solve the issue. I place the solution in case somebody had the same problem. What I did was copying VM from one mac to another. I've copied it using:
    1. Migration Assistant - ERROR: No boot drive
    2. External HDD - ERROR: No boot drive
    3. First ZIP then copy ZIP file and then Extract and add as new VM - SUCCESS!!!!

I don't know why, but only zipping VM Bundle before copying allowed me to start my Windows VM normally as usual on my old machine.

    chears!

Oh, that's good. Glad you are able to resolve the issue by yourself. RAR can store file system attributes of NTFS (like streams, full ACL permissions, modification/access/etc time.
