We moved from a Citrix environment to 2x and we are noticing that images are rendering very slowly across the screen within a 2x session.
Both PDF's and IE render very slowly.

We didnt notice this rendering within our Citrix environment and wonder of there is something we can do to counteract this issue?

Little bit more information, we moved from our own hosted servers to using a hosting company who also supply some 3rd party support to us as a company. We are bring the servers back and I understand that the problem may resolve when we host our own servers again as we may get better bandwidth but just putting it out there to see if anyone has experienced the same issues

PDF System is FoxIT Phantom but the issue also occurs when using Adobe Reader deployed through one of our virtual servers.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Hi Maria,

Still getting the rendering issue across the network. Were have now brought the servers back in house from our hosting team.

We run 100MB BTNet lease lines across the company network at each office. so bandwidth and speed is not an issue.

If we open a set of plans through our FOXIT PDF system or an image through IE/Google Chrome or use Google Maps the rendering of the picture onscreen is painfully slow. If there is a Flash document with several pages on it, the screen can take upto 2 mins to render the images correctly to view

Is there something we can do to resolve this issue?

Im still getting these issues and cannot seem to get around them, image rendering is absolutely horrendous and almost like being on a dial up connection

Do other people get the same rendering issues through the client?

    Greetings @TomM5
Generally we may expect some delays in such processes as image rendering, however 2 minute delays as you mentioned is not somewhat expected. I would suggest to check following:
    1. Make sure that Terminal Server from which application is published is not running out of resources at the time when users are operating in published app. I believe you have already checked it, but still it's worth mentioning.
    2. Such behavior may sometimes be caused by network settings of Parallels Client application. Please check following settings in Parallels Client: Connection Properties -> 'Experience' tab -> Connection speed should be set to 'LAN (10 Mbps or higher)'.

By any chance would you have a possibility to capture a video clip of how rendering goes on one of client machines within your environment and upload it to some file share (dropbox, google drive e.t.c.)? Just want to check what kind of delays we are actually dealing with.
Will be looking forward to hear from you.

    Cheers!
