Black screen occurs when attempting to start game

I have Parallels Desktop for Mac v.9. Installed Windows 7 and have OS X Mavericks. Some games turn to black screen when starting. Rebound Infinity and Rebound Lost Worlds are examples. When I used Windows XP with Parallels, I did not have this problem. No problem on PC with Windows 7. Updates are current, Parallel Tools are current and tried changing resolution. Did not find any fixes in documentation or Forum. Help appreciated.

Please try to manually re-install Parallels Tools by following all steps @ http://kb.parallels.com/8969

Once Parallels Tools installed please increase video memory from Virtual Machine menu=>Configure=>Hardware=>Video.

Re-installed Parallel Tools and increased Video. No change. Still cannot get rid of black screen. Can hear video sounds of game.

 

Try setting DirectX to 9 in the VM settings.

 

DirectX 9 didn,t solve issue.

 

I have the same problem running the steam game Full Throtle Remastered on Windows 10 machine with parallels 12. None of above steps worked...

 

I don't know...
I just installed the game now, on version 12.2.0 (41591) of parallels, running on OSX Sierra 10.12.4.

 

have you tried reinstalling Parallels tools as suggested in the article? If not, please try it once and keep us posted.
