I just upgraded to Parallels 11, and now Explorer behaves the way Finder does when you press the space bar on an item (pops up a Preview window). Can I disable this? I'm used to it in the Finder, but it is a real nuisance when I'm thinking with my Windows hat on.

    Hi joedrageo,
Are you running your Virtual Machine in Coherence mode ? If yes, try to exit the Coherence mode and check how it works. ( http://kb.parallels.com/4670 )
If not, can you share the screenshot of your Windows Explorer to see how exactly it is behaving ?

I'm in fullscreen mode. This is what pops up when I press Space Bar on a file in Explorer.

Disabling the ability for the Mac to see the Windows drive fixed it. I can still access the mac drive via //psf, and it pops if I highlight any of those files still, but that is reasonable.

I dont mind this but there is a problem with it. If you want to go to a folder by typing in its' name and the name contains a space you end up with a quick look action.

The article above does state how to turn it on/off but I want to keep it on, but work properly for folders that have a space in them.

For example, Let's say the folder is called X Docs. Normally I would type X then press the space then Docs. Pressing the space brings up Quick Look instead of just taking me to the correct folder. Finder on the other hand works perfection fine.

The above fix of not sharing the Windows drive with the Mac fixed thisin Parallels Desktop 12, but lo and behold, it's come back in Parallels 13.
    What a lovely regression.

Doesn't anyone on the Parallels team have spaces in filenames?

We have adjusted the behavior of QuickLook in PD13 to reduce situations when QuickLook shows up instead of selecting file names with with space in them.
If that does not work for you, you can disable QuickLook in PD13: http://kb.parallels.com/124241

Thank you. Unfortunately the adjustment doesn't work for me in Windows Explorer (QuickLook comes up as soon as I type the space in a folder name), but the regedit key did the job!
