    Hi everyone,

I have bought the Parallels 13 upgrade for Mac (High Sierra) but the installation program doesn't run. If I click it, simply nothing happens...

Please help, so that I can get my work done. I have sent an e-mail to Parallels, but they don't reply at all.

No error message or spinning wheel. When I click the Installation Icon, I am asked to open the program. When I press the open button, nothing happens...

Hi @JanD4, please make a report about the problem and send it to Parallels: Go to Menu->Help->Send Technical Data and if it possible, write the report number here.

Hello @JanD4, We would request you to uninstall the Parallels Desktop completely using the below Terminal command and check it helps.

    Quit Parallels Desktop.

Launch Terminal application (Applications > Utilities > Terminal).

Execute the following commands separately (one by one):

    sudo su

NOTE: You will be prompted to enter your Mac password after executing the first command. Due to security measures you won't be able to see the password itself, just type it in and hit return/Enter.

    rm -rfd /System/Library/Extensions/prl*

    rm -rfd ~/Library/Preferences/com.parallels*

    rm -rfd ~/Library/Preferences/parallels

    rm -rfd ~/Library/Parallels

    rm -rfd ~/Library/Saved\ Application\ State/com.parallels.desktop.console.savedState

    rm -rfd /Library/Preferences/Parallels/

    rm -rfd /private/var/db/Parallels/

    rm -rfd /private/var/.parallels_swap

    rm -rfd /private/var/db/receipts/'com.parallels*'

    rm -rfd /private/var/db/Parallels/Stats

    rm -rfd /private/var/root/library/preferences/com.parallels.desktop.plist

    rm -rfd ~/Applications\ \(Parallels\)/

    rm -rfd /Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/

    Restart the Mac.

Install Parallels Desktop again. If the issue still persists, please let us know.

I could try that, but won't this give problems with reinstalling, because I always bought upgrades for an old parallels desktop version of which I don't have the product keys anymore?
