Whenever I try to convert a fusion windows10 VM to parallels I run into this error:

Unable to convert this virtual machine
The virtual machine EFI configuration is not valid.

fusion is having no problems running the VM.

I was able to use the parallels transport agent to convert it to a parallels vm but the resulting VM would not boot. It would jus sit there after saying booting from sata 1 or something like that. I managed to fix it by doing the exact oposite of the KB article said. the fix was to put vm.bios.efi=1 in the advanced boot options.
