Hello, I have a virtual environment where the windows OS has crashed and will not load in any mode. I want to back my data up to disk using the parallels explorer but I cannot copy the files in the documents and settings folder because of file permissions. Is there any way to remove those file permissions?

What build of Parallels do you have?
What verson of Windows do you have?

Also make sure that VM is stoped (not suspended).

The VM is stopped and parallels is not running. I don't believe that the problem I am having is actually with parallels, but the permissions windows put on the files in the virtual partition.

Update your build of Parallels to 5160 please. Try to use Parallels explorer 1 more time.
