Parallels: 14.0.0 (45124) Host: MacBookPro13,3 running macOS 10.14 (18A377a) Guest: Windows Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134 Steps to reproduce: When nested virtualization is checked, Windows crashes at startup. Upon a reset or two, Windows automatic repair launches and fails. Only workaround is to disable nested virtualization.
Hi @b.morin, yes! Nested virtualization feature is available only in Parallels Desktop Pro and Business editions. Can you please send us a Technical Data collected right after the crash with nested virtualization and detailed log message enabled (Help menu > Send Technical Data...)? This will help us significantly, please reply me back with the report ID number.
Same problem here, just collected my report: Report ID: 305755290 Host: iMac18,3 running macOS 10.14.4 Guest: Windows Version 10 Pro Thank you!
Hi there, I have this issue too - exactly as described above. Is there a fix for this please? Report ID 313719574 Host: Macbook Pro Running macOS 10.14.5 Guest: WIndows Pro 10
In my case the culprit was Kaspersky. I uninstalled the AV and was able to successfully launch Win 10 Pro with nested virtualization enabled. Hope this helps someone.
Gabriele you've saved me from a nightmare; I was having such trouble with this, and seeing you message, I uninstalled AVG antivirus, and it's all working perfectly now. Thank you!
I had the same nightmare! The Parallels Support Team helped me out, that was a tricky one, glad it is now solved on your side as well!
