If I need a Parallels Tools update, my Leap 15 will not boot fully. I get a terminal login prompt. However, the screen blinks several times a second,. and simultaneously does not receive keyboard input. So it is very unlikely that I can successfully type in my root password to install Parallels Tools.

How do I get around this?

    Hi James,
Please, try to login via command line. To do it, when in window mode, click on the keyboard icon in the right top of the virtual machine and choose Ctrl+Alt+F2. Then type in your user name and password. Then you can use instructions from the KBs below to manually uninstall and reinstall Parallels Tools via Command line like in Terminal:

This has bitten me again. I cannot get Ctrl-Alt-F2 to give me a terminal or anything. I am now on Leap 15, and the latest Parallels. Isn't it about time that you fixed this bug?
