    I don't need parallels very often so I haven't tried to open it until yesterday. So I don't know what i caused it to suddenly not open anymore. I still use Mac OS Sierra and I'm on 10.12.6

    I think I'm on Version 12 and not current as I didn't want to pay $49.99 for something I already have. But didn't realize it's not opening til now.

    I still have the DMG file for version 12. Should I try to remove the program and reinstall? Since the folder for parallels doesn't have an uninstall button, what's the smartest way to remove it? And would my VM still be in another folder? I hardly ever use this. :) But when I need it I really need it for a few programs.
     
  3. Hi CherylP1. Please follow the steps from this article to fix the issue. Reinstalling Parallels Desktop will not affect your virtual machine.
