Some tools, like Ivanti Application Manager, can take action depending on registry values.
One example is to block access to a executable depending on the mac address. Or tweaking the Windows interface when the client is mobile. Or blocking access to some sites when client is connected to an external gateway.
Other competing solutions write client information to the registry or set environment variables on the remote machine. As an example, they write a registry named Location external when the client is connected to an external gateway or Mac Adress with the client mac address.
Parallels Ras could do the same.

    Hi Rick,

Please note that RAS Session Variables have been added in Parallels RAS 17.0. When a remote user starts a published application or desktop, a set of session variables are created by Parallels RAS on the host server. The variables contain information about the client machine, which you can examine if needed. The variables are always updated, so on connect/reconnect they always contain the latest values.

Please see here for further information https://download.parallels.com/ras/...els-RAS-v17-Administrators-Guide.pdf#page=294

Thank you for providing your feedback.

Feel free to get back to us at any time.
