Parallels Installation hangs on my profile

Hello,

I can't install Parallels 15. When I start installation nothing happened. I have tried at another profile on my mac and there the installation runs successful. But when I then log me in, in to my profile nothing happened. It looks, like Parallels is started but I can't it see.

Maybe someone can help me.

Hi Adam, could you check the Activity monitor for the Parallels process please?

 

Yes i have checked this. When I start the Installation process in runs After some seconds change the Status to „does not react"

 

Which version of MacOS are you using?

 

I am using macOS Mojave

 

@AdamG10, please reproduce the issue and perform the following steps:

1. Go to Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal.
2. Run the command:
   
   prlsrvctl problem-report --send
   
   
3. Wait for the technical report to be generated and send. After a successful report submission you will see this message in Terminal: The problem report was successfully sent with id: 123546569
4. Save the 9-digit Problem Report ID and reply us back with it.

I have tried the command but I get this message:
prlsrvctl: command not found

What can I do?!

 

Please restart your Mac, reproduce the issue and copy and past command below once again:

prlsrvctl problem-report --send

Maria, Adam can not try anything you suggested just because this stuff has not been installed yet.
As I understood a whole PD can not be installed at all.
So, it is required to look at system logs (from a Console app for example)
May be it would be useful if Adam could run PD installer from terminal to see console output.

 

That's right. I can't install parallels at my profile. This is my Problem

0. detach all DMG images with Parallels Desktop if there're any;
1. attach DMG image with Parallels Desktop 15 you're trying to install;
2. run this command in terminal:
/Volumes/Parallels\ Desktop\ 15/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/prlsrvctl problem-report --send --stand-alone
3. post problem report here.

 

The problem report was successfully sent with id: 320760038 -> You need some more informations?!

Am I right saying that if you (successfully) install Parallels Desktop under the second user you're still unable to launch the product under the first user? If true what does actually happen during the launch?

 

Nothing. Parallels doesn't start at my profile.

 

Can you please try to launch Parallels Desktop from terminal with this command?
