I purchased Parallels and installed Netflix in Windows 10. I had read that this would allow me to run Netflix and play 4K videos. Unfortunately, no matter what I set my Mac resolution to, the guest OS doesn't seem to recognize that the computer is capable of 4K+ resolutions and only 1080p plays. Is what I'm trying to do impossible? Does anyone know a way to make it work?

  2. Hi, did you setup you VM?(CPU, graphic memory, enable directX), also do you have the Netflix subscription which will allow you to watch a 4k video?
Please check this link for more info

I did set up CPU and graphics memory. I am not given an option under Graphics > Advanced to enable 3D Acceleration.

  4. Does you Netflix subscription support the 4k video?

Yes, and we watch it regularly on our 4K TVs.
