    Hi,

I'm set up for shared networking. My internet works fine in OSX, but XP SP2 just went to limited or no connectivity. It's odd because it was working a couple days ago.

I've followed the automatically select TC/|P and the other check box thing.

    I'm running out of ideas.

    Help please

when i repair the ip address it says it cannot renew the ip address.

Have you tried re-installing Parallels tools?

I am having the same problem. Reinstalling parallels tools did not fix it. Any ideas?

Hmm... Have you tried Bridged Networking?

What is your default OS X adapter?
Is it the same one that you connect to the internet with?
Do your Parallels adapters have IPs?

    I am using shared networking

I'm using shared networking. In fact I've not changed the config at all since I installed Parallels almost a year ago.
Wrt my Mac config, my default device is the AirPort adapter.

Switching to bridged networking "fixed" the issue

Got this from support - I've not tried it yet :

    Hello,

Go to Macintosh HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility
Then press Repair Disk Permissions please.
Don't forget to restart your Mac after that.

Typical troubleshooting... It could help you out, or there may be a mis-configuration in your System Preferences.

If your using shared networking check in Apple System prefs: networking and see if you have a legit IP. If not, re-install parallels tools, shut down your VM and reboot your Mac. This always works for me.
