    Hi,
I have a problem with keyboard on my virtual machine, Windows 10.
If using mac keyboard, layout is ok, all keys are mapped correctly.
If using external usb keyboard, only one key is switched. (\ and <) (if pressed \ swich to < and viceversa)

My currently keyboard layout is Italian.
    Any idea?
    Thanks, Nicola

    Another details.
After update Paralles to version 16.0.1 (48919) in another Mac Book Pro, the same problem was appared.
Is a bug of this version?

    Thanks
    Nicola

I am having the same problem. All keys are mapped correctly except the | and \ key is swapped with ¬ and ` key.
This is infuriating. Worked before I updated to Parallels 16. I am using a PC keyboard with a Mac. Work fine in Mac OS.

The Windows layout on my VM is 'English (United Kingdom)'

  7. Did you try to add Parallels keyboard layout, like described here.
Please share any results with us.

I had tried it, yes. It doesn't resolve the issue. I use a standard UK layout (PC) keyboard, not an Apple layout.

  9. Could you please try to add UK keyboard with (Apple) and check the issue.

With the 'United Kingdom (Apple) Parallels' keyboard:
    • The \ key gives § (with shift: ±)
    • The ` key gives ` (with shift: ~)

    From Parallels support:
    Hello Michele,
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during your collaboration with our First Line engineers.
The case is being handled by the Second Line of the Parallels Support Team.
The issue requires an investigation on a code level, thus we escalated it to the Development team.
Our Development team has found the 'culprit' for the issue. It will be fixed in the next update.
We advise you to subscribe to this article http://kb.parallels.com/en/125053 to get informed once update is released.
Thank you once again for letting us know about the issue.
    Have a nice week!
    Best regards,

I'm having the same problem. I have a MacBook Pro with US keyboard and my Windows VM is set up with a US International keyboard layout.
I bought Parallels 16 during the Black Friday sale, and since then, my keyboard can't type the tilde (~) and grave accent (`), instead typing the section sign (§) and plus-minus (±).
Since I'm arriving late, I need to ask if the update's been released already, because if it has, it's still broken...

I should've mentioned I'm already on the latest Parallels 16.1.1 (49141) version. I checked the release notes and I see this remark:
Resolves an issue with the German keyboard layout (typing "^" instead of "<", "<" instead of ",", etc.).

I'm glad you guys got the German layout working, but I guess you still need to release a fix for KristianS1's UK English layout, LucianoB2's Italian layout, and my US English layout.
