I have succesfully loaded v10.3 32k w/KDE and Parallel tools, using the latest ISO from SUSE. Given the problems identified on this forum with ACPI, I chose the option of 'not installing' ACPI during the initial install.

During the power down sequence, the last few lines on the screen are:

    Shutting down MD Raid
    Stopping udeve:
    proc umounted
The system will be halted immediately.

The only way I have found to kill the system is to 'stop the virtual machine', then click on the configure / edit the virtual machine which forces a shutdown.

Does anyone have an idea as to why this system will not shut down completely?

    Thanks!

    Tom

    Hello tjhcom,

You get the issue because your Guest OS is trying to shut down through ACPI. This is design limitation. We will improve ACPI support in future updates.
However you can turn off the VM manually. Your Guest will not be corrupted as the system has already halted by the moment you get the lines "Shutting down MD Raid...".

    Best regards,
    Xenos
