I'm using Parallels Desktop 15 and Windows 10 guest. To access my employer's intranet I have to use VPN, which I run on Mac (Pulse Secure). It works fine, intranet is accessible even on Windows host (I use shared network configuration in Parallels) without the need to set anything on Windows. But recently my company published some new intranet site on .local domain. I edited hosts file on Mac and with active VPN connection it works, I can access the web. But when I try it on Windows, the URL is not translated and browser says it can't be found. I also edited hosts file on Windows, but no success. Why is the behavior different for external URL and .local URL?

Respectively, has anybody an idea what do I need to configure to make it work? I was thinking about installing Pulse Secure to Windows host, maybe. Unfortunately, the intranet web has some functions which are available only on Windows.
