I upgraded to Big Sur 11.1 tonight, and when I started my Windows 10 VM, the icons only displays as text label, and application on the taskbar only display as the generic "application" icon. Icons are also missing in folders. The file names appear, but no icons. I've re-installed Parallel Tools but that didn't fix the issue. I am using Parallels Desktop 16.2

This turns out to be a Windows 10 issue to which I've found a solution. Just bad timing that it happened at the same time as the upgrade to Big Sur.

  3. Hello, could you check the same behavior with the latest Parallels Desktop build 16.1.3 and share any results with us please?

Per my post, I resolved the issue prior to the release of 16.1.3. It was a corrupted IconCache file in Windows 10.
