Hello, I'm using a Mac M1 with a Windows Virtual Machine. The trouble is, I gave it 4GB of RAM. However, I need to run one application that requires more than 2GB of RAM. So when I run it, it says the minimum required is 2GB of RAM, but I've already allocated 4GB.
Hi, did you try to play with virtual machine RAM settings? Could you resend us your screenshot please? (cannot see the current one)
Hi SaiL1, in the screenshot you have shared, next to the memory box it shows "(up to 2GB for graphics)" so in the 4 GB allocated 2 GB will be occupied by graphics and only 2GB is available for Windows and application running within Windows. You will have to upgrade the RAM on your Mac to fix this issue.
Echoing the previous poster's issue: I've allocated 8GB to this VM, but my available memory in the VM remains well under 2GB. I see no note about "up to X GB for graphics" when the VM is powered off and I am in the configuration screen. Support, please advise!
