I want use the floppy disk drive, but it doesn't appear under my hardware configuration panel. Every guide I have found about adding the floppy drive says to click the [+] button, but it still doesn't appear for me.
you can "dd" it to physical USB flash and connect that device to VM you can "dd" floppy image to prepared image of plane (means unchecked "expanding") virtual HDD you can create DMG image using OS X disk utility and try to connect it to VM as CDROM. you can prepare physical floppy and connect USB floppy drive to VM you can use some disk image software in Windows and mount it. Just curious, why do you want to use floppy on modern Windows OS and ARM architecture? Personally I do "dd" to non expanding virtual HDD image.
This is indeed a shame. Has any support been added since this post was last updated (looks like Jan '22)? Any news or insights on if/when this will be added? My intent is/was to use my GreaseWeazle v4 device in the Windows 11 VM. And like the OP, I'm unable to select Floppy Drive as a hardware option (the drive connects to the Mac Studio M1 Ultra with no problem, and I can redirect it to Windows 11, but it's not recognized or available as a device).
