So, I'm trying to install Windows 10 on my M1 Macbook Air, however Microsoft no longer distributes the Arm-based version of Windows 10 and somehow, when I try downloading it from somewhere else there are a bunch of steps just to compile a Windows 10 ISO. I guess I must be doing something wrong, because I got the ISO and when I try installing it, it gives me a BSOD at the beginning, when copying files. Just out of curiosity, I downloaded the Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft and it installed perfectly and in under 3 minutes I was already using my Windows 11 VM. I believe that if I can get my hands on the same ISO that was available on Microsoft's website, I should be able to get it working just fine. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to proceed?
Search the forum here for Parallels/Apple M1. There are several threads about downloading from UPPDUMP and how to configure which version of Windows you download and how to download all the files and the compile them into an ISO file that Parallels 17 will install into a VM. I did it because I did not have a Windows 11 PRO key, which I eventually obtained and just stayed with that.
Hello, currently we are not having any information about M1 Pro from our development team. Please follow us for staying updated. Thanks, Parallels Team.
