QB 2015 offers the ability to finely adjust the location of printed text on the checks. Addressing that prints on the check is partially blocked by the envelope and i can not move it. This is the purpose of the "Fine Alignment" and this function is not working i.e. it doesn't seem to "pass thru" the adjustments to the Mac printer..

Let me help you with the steps to follow to adjust the alignment:
    - Press on + New.
    - Click on Print checks.
    - Hit on Print setup.
    - Select No, continue setup.
    - Select your default PDF viewer.
    - Go back to QuickBooks and select View preview and print sample. Then select Print.
    - Follow the on-screen steps to finish printing your sample check.
    - Check the alignment of your sample against a blank check.
If the alignment looks good, then you're ready to print on your regular checks.
Also, check with the Quickbook Grid

    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
