OSX host with Tunnelblick vpn, ubuntu 20.04 LTS shared network - no connection

Hi,
I am trying out parallels to use for work and cannot get my host's vpn connection to work on the ubuntu 20.04 lts guest (setup through the auto install option from parallels).
Host: OSX 12.0.1 (M1); Tunnelblick running OpenVPN
Guest: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, on shared connection

As soon as I connect to my VPN on host, the guest looses all connection. What am I doing wrong?
Guest's ip addr output doesn't differ between being or not being connected to the vpn. The output of ping 8.8.8.8 on guest completely stops the moment I connect to the VPN.

please reproduce the problem and send a problem report (menu of Parallels Desktop Help -> Send Technical Data)

 

Hi Elric - I have done so, the dialog said "Technical report 385410378 has been sent to Parallels"

Unfortunately it is a conflict of Apple component and VPN in the Appstore version of Parallels Desktop. VPN at start register new routes and overwrites the required ones for Parallels.
This should work in the full version of Parallels Destkop. https://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/trial/
