I'm now using Parallels 17.1.1 & Windows 11. I just want to be sure I'm using the proper exit strategy. I had issues with Parallels 14 & Windows 10 ... as I was using the wrong shut down. I've attached a picture of where I shut down Windows ... hope this is kosher.
Thanks for your help. So far, I'm loving Parallels 17 & Windows 11.
    Obviously, this is low priority.
    Cheers,
    Loretta

Hi Loretta, below are the ways to shut down your virtual machine:-
    1. Click the Parallels icon in the menu bar and choose Actions > Shut Down.
    2. If the Parallels Desktop menu bar is visible at the top of the screen, choose Actions > Shut Down.
    Reference KB article.

I've always used the native Windows method to shut it down:
    1. From the Windows taskbar, choose the Start menu icon all the way to the left (looks like the 4-square Windows symbol).
    2. At the bottom of the Start menu/window, choose the Power icon all the way to the right (looks like a power on/off symbol).
    3. When the menu pops up, choose "Shut down".
