NTFS Compression Performance Impact - Windows 11 Guest?

Has anybody tried NTFS compression?
What impact does it make on performance? On my Intel BootCamp it seems to yield about 10%+ reduction in space taken. This becomes significant with 256GB to 512GB drives.

 

I tried it after backing up the vm. It opened an additional 16% of free space, but actual vm is about 10GB larger!

 

This drive settled after a day and the extra space showed up.
On another VM it stayed bloated by about 100GB (no snapshots, disk cleaned and shut down for parallels cleanup, the VMs are on a volume without snapshots and excluded from Spotlight.) I just restored it from my NAS.
