I get a lot of static on my VOIP phone when running it via Parallels. It is a Cisco IP Communicator. I am running build 5160, XP SP2, Macbook Pro with 2 gigs of ram. Default sound config. Any suggestions on how to improve? The phone works fine on my PC.
Have you tried going to one of those sites that measure bandwidth connectivity issues for VoIP? Check it in the virtual machine first, if it is not good, then check it on the Mac to see if some is being lost via the VM.
Thanks. It is a Parallels glitch or a setting that needs to be tweaked. The phone works fine with the same XP image in other VM software.
