    Hi,

Last year I got in touch with the sales team to ask some questions about buying a license. They told me that the license I would buy would be perpetual. After purchasing, to my surprise the Parallels CP showed it was only valid for 365 days. Naturally, I got back in touch: Parallels said they were sorry for the mistake and giving me the wrong information, the license I was interested in buying used to be a perpetual license: but it got changed to be a yearly license only very shortly before I asked; so the sales representative didn't know it wasn't perpetual anymore. BUT... They also said they couldn't do anything to solve the situation, it was essentially "Yeah we screwed up, but it's your problem - not ours". :| Of course that's not an acceptable resolution... If you tell me I will get a perpetual license, it shouldn't end up being only valid for a year. But a refund or changing the license to be perpetual (I even offered to pay the difference) was not possible.

After *a lot* of back and forth and multiple attempts to find a resolution, Parallels finally agreed to give me a very small discount; so that when the yearly license was over: I could buy a perpetual license then under the new licensing model at a discount. Even with the discount it still meant I was going to pay nearly twice as much as I would normally have paid for a normal perpetual license. But since Parallels was unwilling to resolve the situation in a way any sensible and customer friendly company would do after *their sales team screwed up*: this was the best I could get.

... Que the license expiration date. To my surprise, the discount code provided by Parallel's didn't work. So I re-opened the support ticket. This prompted the support system to overwrite the old ticket with the new one (wth?), but the representative managed to find the old conversation. I got told that the discount code wasn't working due to a temporary promotion and that I should try again "Some time after April 25th" of this year.

... Que April 25th passing. You guessed it: the code still doesn't work! I still can't get the discount Parallel's promised me as a repayment for the major mistake their sales team had made.

And now, I also cannot re-open that support ticket and when I want to open a new ticket because... You guessed it: I must first buy a new subscription! Which I can't do, because the darn discount code doesn't work!

Can someone from Parallel's support pretty please - with sugar on top, fix this once and for all? It's absolutely ridiculous that I have to get in touch so many times to get this resolved. This starts feeling a bit like a scam. First I get screwed over by bad information from the sales team who don't want to fix their own mistake, then support doesn't want to resolve it and then they provide me with a non working discount code. To make matters worse: now I'm being fed the wrong information again plus the ability to ask for a resolution is blocked because the license expired and I'm forced to come to a public online community to ask for a resolution... You can't make this up. Parallels tells me I need to pay €120 to open a support ticket to ask for a way to solve the situation so I don't have to pay €120... Great.
