Windows 11 Version 24H2 won't update

    The last successful update was "2025-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for arm64-based Systems (KB5063060)" Since then, Windows Update either crashes during download or during install. When I click on "Retry" same thing.

    I'm running Parallels 26.0.0 on a M1 iMac. Any help would be appreciated.

    I understand the activation problem that is affecting some people is a bigger issue, but if anyone has any thoughts on Windows Update not working, I'd appreciate it.

    Same for me. It doesn't update any longer.
    I'm on Parallels Version 26.0.1 (57243), but it didn't worked before. The update gets downloaded and when installing it breaks without leaving any error message as of why. I also downloaded the update from a Microsoft server and tried to install it, but it also stops after awhile.

    Any solution?

    I haven't heard anything, so I thought I was the only one it was affecting. The last time this happened to me, it resolved itself after a couple of weeks, but I'm still stuck on the June 2025 update. ‍♂️

    Hello, Thank you for your comment.

    Can you please check here for any errors:

    1. Initiate an update attempt.
    2. Go to Event Viewer in Windows 11.
    3. Navigate to: Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > WindowsUpdateClient > Operational
    4. Check the list for any errors which matches the time frame at which you tried the update and it failed.
    5. Share a screenshot of the error if any.

    Thanks. It didn't update, but no error shows up in the log. I'm currently trying to reset.

    Reset didn't work, and now it's trying to download and install Windows 11 reset version, or something like that. I might just create an entire new Win 11 machine and reinstall the one program I need. What a PITA....
