Prompted by its invitation to do so, today I updated Parallels Deskop Pro to version 26.0.1.
However, this caused a phenomenon to reappear that occurred in a version of some time ago: in all my Windows VMs running Win 10 or 11, system text in "modern" UI apps suddenly are invisible; in legacy apps, system text displays just fine. Also, various bitmaps appear garbled.
With the previous version, the remedy was the addition of "video.metal=0" in the Hardware | Boot Order | Advanced | Boot Flags; up te version 26.0.0, this worked perfectly. It would be nice if it would also work after the new update--which should be a very minor one!

I run Desktop using Sequoia 15.6.1 on a system (Model-ID: iMac15,1), patched with OpenCore Legacy Patcher 2.4.1.

Additional information: I reverted to Parallels Deskop Pro to version 20.4.1 (I had to get on with my work ;-). I can reproduce the "phenomenon" on that version by deleting boot flag "video.metal=0" for a Win 11 VM; inserting it again restores the normal behaviour of the VM.
That is, it seems to occur independent of the environment of Sequoia 15.6.1 on a system (Model-ID: iMac15,1), patched with OpenCore Legacy Patcher 2.4.1.

Thanks for raising this. I have tried to get support from Parallels on this exact issue only to be effectively stonewalled and told "you are not running a supported configuration of Mac". Any chance of an update to this as it is still affecting me on my old iMac?

Thank you for the invitation to update; I've just installed Parallels Desktop Pro version 26.0.1.

Unfortunately, this minor update has brought back a frustrating visual bug that I had encountered in a much older version. In all of my Windows 10 and 11 VMs, the system text within "modern" UI apps (like Settings) is now completely invisible. Legacy applications display text correctly, but various on-screen bitmaps also appear garbled.

I had solved this exact issue previously by adding the boot flag video.metal=0 in the VM configuration (under Hardware > Boot Order > Advanced). This workaround worked perfectly for me right up through version 26.0.0.

It seems the new update may have reset a graphics setting or introduced a regression affecting this specific configuration. For reference, my host system is a patched iMac (Model iMac15,1) running macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 via OpenCore Legacy Patcher 2.4.1.

I'm hoping reinstating the video.metal=0 flag will resolve it again, or that there might be another setting to check. Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Unfortunately, the text is still not visible after updating to version 26.1.0. It works perfectly with version 20.4.1 on a patched Mac retina 15.1 with macOS Sequoia 15.7.
