Started around 3/26/2026, may be after windows or parallels update, windows 11 shuts down suddenly.
    I saved the minidump file and analyzed with WinDbg;
    DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f)
A driver has failed to complete a power IRP within a specific time.
    Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000003, A device object has been blocking an IRP for too long a time
Arg2: ffffd10ad2fb8360, Physical Device Object of the stack
Arg3: fffff800667288b0, nt!TRIAGE_9F_POWER on Win7 and higher, otherwise the Functional Device Object of the stack
    Arg4: ffffd10ad630dbf0, The blocked IRP
I have experienced this type of shutting down of W11 at least 10 times for the last 3 weeks, all in the middle of light load with windows side using excel, outlook, pdf exchange. Mac side is clear of any open apps.
Based on my research (thanks to ChatGPT), latest Windows update is causing the problem. Anyone experiencing the same?
Please let me know what I can do to stop these sudden shutdowns?

I've been experiencing the same thing. No solution at this time with a fresh Windows install.
@TolgaT1 Do you know which windows update can cause the problem ?

After 3 whole days of screwing around with this I ended up installing the version of parallels on the Apple App Store and rebuilding it scratch from there. Happy to say I haven't had any problems since. It's left me wondering if its windows or the new build of parallels. I was running the latest 26.3 or whatever it is.

I have the following windows updates (now paused for the next 5 weeks)
    2026-03 Update (KB5086672) (26200.8117)
    2025-10 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 25H2 for arm64 (KB5066128)
I have not tried to uninstall windows updates, I am hoping Parallels will push in a new update for this issue. Meantime, I shutdown the VM every 3-4 hours and restart the Mac every 6-8 hours. I also start Mac in safe mode daily. It may be overkill but resetting/clearing up things seem to be working. I have not had sudden shutdown issues following this recipe. I am on a critical task, after that I will stop restarts and work as normal and turn on all updates to see if it is gone.

I am having the same issue - M2 MacBook Pro with Windows 11 - both updated to current versions. Problem started occurring at the end of March 2026.
I have been on MULTIPLE professional calls working on Excel spreadsheets when Parallels crashes and I have to reboot. I have lost massive productivity due to this issue and for the first time in 15 years I'm considering my alternatives. This is UNACCEPTABLE.

    Hello all,
In order to investigate the issue, please proceed as follows:
    1. Reproduce the issue.
    2. Collect a technical report. To generate the report, right-click on the Parallels icon in the Dock > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report, and provide us with the report's 9-digit ID in reply.
    Regards,

I have same issues: very, very annoying! This is happening for a few months now, and has even destroyed powerful excel files.
For sure it has something to do with the update around march!
