I've been successfully using Parallels with Windows XP on my MacBook Pro since the Beta days. Since upgrading to Leopard and upgrading to Build 5582, I've had some performance issues that show up when closing application windows. Sometimes, after I click on the Red X to close an application window, it will delay 2-3 seconds before the Window disappears. Sometimes, in addition, or instead of the delay, I will see the Macintosh OS spinning pizza wheel cursor for 3-4 seconds after I close a Window in Windows. I can not do anything in the Virtual OS while the cursor is spinning. Looking at Windows Task Manager, or CPU utilization on the host Macintosh OS, I do not see any spike in CPU usage during this "pause" in performance. Any suggestions on how to resolve? Thanks, John
I'm having the same problem....exactly as described. My Vista virtual OS was working fine, but I went back to XP (because it's XPonentially better than Vista) and I'm having the problem JohnO describes.
I'm having the same problem. There's another thread here http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=18495 where I'm stumbling toward an answer.
