Only one of the apple keys works in office 2007

Anyone else notice that on a macbook pro, only the left apple key is "switched" with the normal control key function, so that apple-p prints when pressing the left key, but apple-p inserts the letter p in the document and then brings up a contextual menu when using the right key?
