This burns my butt. I just upgraded from Parallels v2 to v3, and the only VM I have and have been using for the last year at least won't work. I've read this Parallels kb article, but when I alternate click the file, I don't see the "Open Package Contents". I see "Open With >", and in there are "Parallels Mounter" and "Parallels Explorer". Both complain that the .hdd file can't be opened.

Any idea how to fix this?

I'm running Tiger with all the latest patches.

    Thanks,

    Solved...poor UI on Parallels' Part

I opened the .hdd file using Parallels Image Tool, and lo and behold, there was an option to convert the image to the current format. Why the Hell didn't Parallels tell me this is what I needed to do when I attempted to launch the VM, instead of telling me that the image is basically busted?
