Been running metastock for some months, and just confirmed a problem, which by the way I had with an earlier stock charting program called Sharechart. Symptom. Open a chart in metastock for any index or stock. Draw a support line at a level, say 11,000 on the Dow. Now use the + and - (zoom in and out) buttons in Metastock. The support line is NOT maintained at 11,000. It moves all over the place, even disappears. I have done EXACTLY the same on my Windows backup DELL PC and the problem does not happen. There seems to be a problem with drawing graphics under Parallels. Can anyone confirm, or provide a solution? esp. someone from Parallels?
Wondering if Parallels staff will give me some feedback? I am wondering if Parallels will give me some feedback on this problem I noted with metastock and other stock charting software? ... this is a critical tool for me and I need to make a decision about what to do in the next few days. Parallels 1, 2, and 3 have demonstrated the same or similar bugs. I really thought it was resolved ... but no. It is easy to recreate, and does NOT occur on a native Windows system. Please help or tell me to give up ... at least I will know not to wait any longer.
Hello Lehmachr, We have not tested Metastock yet so I can not confirm or provide a solution right now. Could you please give a link for we could download demo? We'll try to reproduce the issue in-house. Best regards, Xenos
Metastock has the bug after all Further analysis reveals that it is Metastock with a bug. (relates to choices used when overlaying ATR on a chart) Parallels is off the hook, which is good and makes me feel better about my choice.
Metastock 11 I'm trying to run Metastock 11 (monthly lease version) on Parallels Desktop 4.0, but it fails when I try to enter the serial number. Is anyone on MS 11 and working successfully? /kim
