I'm new to both Mac and Parallels for Mac. I have a new MacBook Pro and have Windows XP Home Edition installed on the VM. I assume I need to install antivirus and security software in the Windows OS enviroment. I have used Norton products on all my PC's (Norton 360, most recently). Is that a good choice for this setting? I would like to continue with the Norton products. Are there issues I should know about? Thanks, Marc
I have a MacBook Pro running XP under Boot Disk and Parallels. It's running Norton Protection Center without any problems.
I would use either AVG Free Edition, Kapsperky (top rated right now) or NOD32. All these are much better than Norton and take less system resources.
Guidlines for properly tuned Norton? Care to put a stake in the ground for what you mean by "properly tuned" Norton Anti Virus; i.e., best practices? Thanks, SL
