I'm new to both Mac and Parallels for Mac. I have a new MacBook Pro and have Windows XP Home Edition installed on the VM. I assume I need to install antivirus and security software in the Windows OS enviroment. I have used Norton products on all my PC's (Norton 360, most recently). Is that a good choice for this setting? I would like to continue with the Norton products. Are there issues I should know about? Thanks,
    Marc

I have a MacBook Pro running XP under Boot Disk and Parallels. It's running Norton Protection Center without any problems.

I would use either AVG Free Edition, Kapsperky (top rated right now) or NOD32. All these are much better than Norton and take less system resources.

Kaspersky runs well, a properly tuned Norton can run quite nicely also, though.

    Guidlines for properly tuned Norton?

Care to put a stake in the ground for what you mean by "properly tuned" Norton Anti Virus; i.e., best practices?

    Thanks, SL
