    Unfortunately this does not resolve my issue. My bootcamp partition is Windows 8.1 and replacing the volume.inf file as instructed in the article...

    I have a similar problem. I just installed Windows 8.1 in a bootcamp partition on my new 12inch MacBook. Bootcamp works fine, I can boot Windows...
