    Hi

I know I may be missing something extremely obvious, but after re-installing my Win XP in a new Parallels virtual desktop I can't work out how to re-activate Kasperksy.

I do have my Kaspersky activation key, I bought it on 16 June 2010 at the Parallels/Element 5 place.

When I log in to my Parallels/Element 5 account they suggest these instructions for reactivating Kaspersky:

    http://kb.parallels.com/en/6750

but they bear no relation to what I actually see when looking at the application in Win XP.

Do I have the right version of Kaspersky?

Maybe that is the problem. The one I have has a green program window with "Kaspersky Internet Security 2011" written at top left in it. This looks different from the one I had before my reinstallation of Win XP, so maybe this is not the correct version for me.

In the green program window for Kaspersky is a button at the bottom right which says "Purchase License". This takes me to a Parallels page for purchasing a new licence.

I also have a link at the bottom of the green Kaspersky window which says: "My Kaspersky Account". I click on that and it takes me to a log in page for a Kaspersky account. However I don't have any details for that page. All I have is the log in for Parallels/Element 5.

Anyway I'd be grateful if anyone could explain how I could reactivate Kaspersky.

This has been resolved by Parallels support.

The problem is that as I now have Parallels 6 the older Parallels Internet Security which I had with Parallels 5 does not work any more, and I now have the newer Kaspersky Internet Security 2011.

I will have to buy a new licence I think.
