Hi Guys, So now with this 26.1.1 version using retina or scaled makes no difference. I do not see the native resolution of 5120x2880 in Ubuntu and can select various other resolutions that either leave black borders or fuzzy text. This has worked for years but it is broken now. Is there any way of going back to the old parallel tools that actually worked? Thanks Andy
Running in a window is now broken as well, dynamic resizing no longer works. It looks like it now just does an image scale. All in all it's totally broken.
Anyone else finding with the same problems, you can add resolutions by following this: https://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2017/04/custom-screen-resolution-ubuntu-desktop/ Worked for me, I now have 5120x2880 back and working.
This probably doesn't apply to Ubuntu as I use labwc with Arch, but I use Kanshi to manually set the resolution and HiDPI scaling. I had to do this before the latest update. I tried removing Kanshi from autostart to see if automatic scaling was fixed in this latest release, but it appears that I still have to use the Kanshi workaround. Automatic scaling did work when I used to use X11, so I suspect this relates to the various different Wayland implementations out there. I use a more obscure one.
